About that Daz Software bundle

More details:
1) I figured this was the lower tier software. It's not; it's the pro-version stuff. That doesn't mean THAT much in the case of Bryce and Hexagon, which haven't had major updates in a while, but I just -bought- Studio Pro last August or so for over 100 bucks and that was as an upgrade, with an early adopter discount.
2) The sale lasts until the end of February, so you have a couple weeks - but it won't last forever.
3) Not only does Daz always offer upgrade discounts, they also permit you to login and redownload your files any time you want. If you ever have had any interest in 3D modeling, landscape rendering, or character manipulation, and you don't have the -really- expensive stuff, I highly recommend you 'buy' these programs now while they're free. You can play with it now, or you can play with it later.
4) If you subscribe to the newsletters, there are weekly freebies you can use with the program and build up a library completely free. HOWEVER, I don't recommend you subscribe if you don't have a lot of self control, because their business model is based on convincing you to nickle and dime yourself with this small pack and this small pack and... you don't want to know how much content I've bought, you really don't. Unless you want to laugh at me. Oh, shut up, I'm not telling you anyhow.
5) If you really get into it and want to subscribe to the Daz 'Platinum' club (and kiss your spending money goodbye), don't do an annual subscription right off the bat. They have special annual renewal rewards in October every year, and so you want to do monthly until October. It's usually worth a 20+ dollar 'voucher' to wait.
