So, here's the question of the hour: I could probably figure this out, but I really don't want to waste money if I'm wrong.

Let's say a hypothetical house lacks broadband, but wants to be able to access the network (connected via dialup) using wireless. What kind of hardware is needed to actually add wireless connectivity to an existing network?

Anyone know? Got recommendations? (Cheap, BTW, is good.)

You already have a network, and can access the Internet over it?

What I did to add wireless to my network was get a wireless router, configure it to get the DHCP information from my wired router, and then added it as one of the devices connected to my router. So my network is:

            WindowsComputerA   TiVoWiFi
                       |           |
WindowsComputerB----Router---WirelessRouter---WirelessMac
                       |           |
            WindowsComputerC    WirelessLaptop

With the wired router doing all the DHCP assignments.

I was guessing something like that might work, but didn't really feel like shelling out for a wireless router and not knowing if I could make it let the server handle DHCP for it like it does for the wired network. That's cool. then.
