So, here's the question of the hour: I could probably figure this out, but I really don't want to waste money if I'm wrong.

Let's say a hypothetical house lacks broadband, but wants to be able to access the network (connected via dialup) using wireless. What kind of hardware is needed to actually add wireless connectivity to an existing network?

Anyone know? Got recommendations? (Cheap, BTW, is good.)

I seem to remember some obscure little company that made a wireless router with a built in modem, actually. Supposedly to have a backup if the ethernet goes down, but it'd work in this case.

Really, all I want to do is add a wireless access point to my existing network; ideally, it'd just act as a wireless version of a hub and even pass DHCP traffic on to the server/router box.

Why does no one cater to my simple needs? ;_;
