So, here's the question of the hour: I could probably figure this out, but I really don't want to waste money if I'm wrong.

Let's say a hypothetical house lacks broadband, but wants to be able to access the network (connected via dialup) using wireless. What kind of hardware is needed to actually add wireless connectivity to an existing network?

Anyone know? Got recommendations? (Cheap, BTW, is good.)

I mean, I'm not quite sure what wires the external dialup modem use, but if it's the same as broadband, from the modem to the other machine, it should work.
