Family Circle log 6/10/2006
Jun. 17th, 2006 11:59 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Leti says, "Okay! Last time, our heroes had... err, well, finished the arc. So, you've won some gratitude from the townspeople - there's also some fear, and some distrust, but mostly approval. The average person on the street who watched the oath binding of the barbarian leaders was quite impressed - though there've been a few mutters about selling out to the barbarians. What've people been doing since? And how long before people agitate to Move On? Zahen seems perfectly content to keep hosting you as long as you want to stay - he's gained no little political capital from your presence."
<<OOC>> Green Cove is willing to jaunt about as long as they'll keep her and Leaf in snacks. "Right up until she has an appropriately prophetic dream, anyway. She's used to lounging about doing nothing in particular until she feels a need to move on elsewhere anyway."
<<OOC>> Shai provides idle flavor note: Shai's anima banner resembles a spiderweb with words and phrases from various languages woven into it. "Because I doubt she'd've gone iconic, but it's properly symbolic if she spends peripheral to bind the town/barbarian oath, and the web shows up pre-iconic."
<<OOC>> Shai says "Shai would've been seeing to her ship and her people, and would agitate to Move On as soon as they start having trouble; anything from sailors getting restless to sailors having trouble with income/food/essentials. If the Circle's staying put for more than a couple days, she would've also been shopping for local jobs they could do, but _probably_ getting Jay to handle them if the Circle is otherwise staying there."
<<OOC>> Yoru would probably have tried to chat up Shai somewhere in there, maybe even Green Cove. Otherwise just relaxing, which involves drinking, practicing, and reading oddly enough.
<<OOC>> Allen says "Allen doesn't want to stay put. He's got Things To Do, even if he doesn't know what they are yet, so while he'd have been glad for a few days to relax and rest, he's going to start looking for where he should be going next before a week is up."
<<OOC>> Shai _laughs_. And hmmms. "I...think, at the moment, Shai would not be open to sex with Yoru. Not offended by the attempt, she'd just politely turn him down. If that works for you?"
<<OOC>> Yoru says "Hey! I just said chat up, not try to get into pants. Get to know the more attractive Circle mates ya know."
Leti says, "The townspeople try, but Leaf, at least, finds the barbarians' snacks more to her taste - it's much easier to find proper meat there. With less of the vegetable stuff. They're also -very- respectful to any of the Solars. Particularly Green Cove. It's not that they're not impressed by the others, but while none of the Solars have heard any FORMAL comments from the leadership of the tribe, it's obvious some of their ghostly patron's attitude has been shared, if not enforced."
<<OOC>> Yoru doesn't mind being rebuked however, Shai.
Leti peers at PCs. "You have several leads left hanging from the last arc. People intend to investigate GC's former workshop, though, I think?"
Yoru would like to investigate the workshop.
<<OOC>> Green Cove says "Yay workshop!"
Leti says, "After several days, Floating Leaf comments to Green Cove that she's going to get fat and spoiled like this, and they should really find something more exciting to do."
Green Cove agrees, over a plate of those nice little fluffy pastries with the sweet bits in the center.
Yoru will mention the workshop to the rest of his Circle, suggesting that perhaps they revisit the spirit and find out more about the place.
Yasutora [to Leti]: How's my work on Ten River Winds going?
Shai is happy to go along with that, assuming nobody raises an objection. ...And will also likely mention the prophecy that drew her East, if she hasn't already brought it up.
Leti [to Yasutora]: He's sullen. He's fairly cicumspect about what he says about it (in fact, avoiding any kind of discussion with Yasutora wherever he can), but he continues to persist in the notion that the world does and should bow to the strong. He doesn't seem very grateful to Yasutora for intervening for him, either. On the other hand, he's behaving, and not giving anyone any excuses.
Allen is also happy to go along with that plan, since he doesn't have any set travel plans - he'll end up where he needs to be, with Sol Invictus as his guide. Meeting with his Circle is enough proof of that, and staying with them is doubtless what he is meant to do.
<<OOC>> Green Cove is fine with travel plans. Need to work off some of those snacks.
Leti says, "Okay, so everyone wants to head back to the barbarian camp and interrogate the old ghost about the workshop?"
Yasutora <to Leti> will talk to him earnestly and sincerely, pointing out that strength is not found in martial capabilities alone. He'll point out that the most successful armies in the world-- Lookshy's, which beat odds ranging from 2 to 10 times their numbers because of the respect they have for all of their citizens, whereas enslaving/destructive civilizations have to amass huge numbers, ending up _weaker_ because of their insistence on strength. And that power in the Celestial Bureaucracy often rests with the importance of the _action_, which is why peace-deities are nearly as important in some cases as war, even in a time of constant troubles.
Yasutora will go along with the group to find out about the workshop, though, yes, and have Ten River Wind come along as well, to see the benefits of Craft.
Leti says, "Ten River Wind has largely learned not to argue with Yasutora - as it just gives him more time being preached at, and he's refusing to consider options. :p"
Yasutora <to Leti> preaches to him anyway. :)
Yoru will offer him a drink every now and then, if only to lure him away from Yasutora for a few. Give him time to digest what was said.
Pale Soul Shadow willingly summons the ancestor ghost of the tribe again; the room is the same small wooden building, still dark, save for a flickering oil lamp. The ghost has bowed to everyone, particularly Green Cove, and asked what he can do for you.
Shai glances around to see if someone else seems inclined to speak up, as, er, she considers it a good idea for the Eclipse with the ranged weapon to help keep an eye on the Air-Blooded. As all seem quiet, though, she nods politely to the ghost, and asks, "Grandfather, what can you tell us about our Twilight's workshop?" With a nod to Cove.
Green Cove stands on one foot, trying to remember what she can about the workshop. She has not, in recent years, exhibited much in the way of workshop-involved activities, unless you count that one massacre with the man who did that thing in the place with the stuff. But apparently workshopping was once her thing. It's a conundrum.
Yasutora turns slightly, his movements controlled and subdued save for the occasional stretch now that his body is no longer confined by the Bastion. He awaits the ancestor's words with interest.
Yoru stays back a step or two so he can keep an eye on their prisoner. He does however listen in on the conversation with interest.
Leti says, "Essence roll, GC?"
Allen also is playing guard on Ten River Wind, content to leave the talking to Shai for now. He doesn't think he'll need to step in and be a stabilizing influence in this case.
<<OOC>> Leti says "The Air-Aspect is guarded by a full Circle, pretty much. Yeah. He's on his very best behavior. :p"
<<DICE>> Green Cove rolls 2 dice: <5 7> for 1 success.
<<OOC>> Leti says "Watching the ghost links to the memories you have of healing him, from a dream, which in turn raise vague shadows of a former life. You have no clear memories, but the idea that you had a workshop does make sense somehow."
<<OOC>> Leti says "With that feeling comes a vague sensation of covetousness."
Green Cove says, half to herself, "There was a workshop. It had tables. And stuff." She nods firmly.
Shai shoots Cove a sidelong glance, lips quirking into a smile, before refocusing on the spirit to await his reply.
Yoru rolls his eyes and keeps quiet. No need to be sarcastic here.
Yasutora says "I am supposing, Grandfather, that there was something secret-- something dangerous?-- within?"
The ghost folds his hands together, closing his eyes briefly. When he answers, he speaks directly to Green Cove. "I do not know much about your workshop, mistress. Few of us ever entered; you kept your work secret until you were ready to use it. You kept it locked and sealed, and any lesser being than you would have most likely fatally failed in an attempt to invade it. I do not think, if you had been within it when the usurpers came, they would have reached you alive." He shrugs. "Which is probably why they targeted you elsewhere, of course." The ghost shoots a brief glare at Ten River Winds. "I know where it is - was."
Green Cove examines the ceiling thoughtfully. "It's the right place to go. Maybe once I get closer I'll better remember what I did there."
Shai purses her lips at the description, her smile fading at the last part and the glare. She nods to Yasutora's question, and also asks, "Can you show us where it was, or give us directions there?"
Yoru speaks up here, "Grandfather, did you say before you hold a key to the workshop?"
Yasutora quietly puts his hand on Ten River Winds' shoulder. "We are not responsible for the sins of our ancestors," he says softly, then looks down, his voice growing sterner. "Only the sins of ourselves." He returns to listening.
The ghost nods to Shai. "I can." He shrugs at Yoru, again speaking to Green Cove. "When you were ambushed, you gave me the key to ...at least the outer seal - I do not know what other precautions there are - and commanded me to keep it away from the Dragon-Blooded. It would not have been my choice to leave you to the ambush, but I was only one of your guards present and wouldn't have made much difference. The Dragon-Blooded killed me in the end anyhow, but not until I had concealed the seal, and they didn't know to look for it, not with me." His smile is slim and vengeful as he returns his attention to Yoru, finishing the answer to the one who asked it. "So they left it behind and never broke the seals. I ...recovered it, later, and still protect it."
Green Cove smiles thinly. "I very much want to see what's behind those seals. I wonder if they'll recognize me."
Yasutora nods slowly in response to this and frowns, his arms remaining still at his sides. "Given the nature of our circle," he says at last, "And the nature of the prophecies imparted -to- our circle, I suspect that duty as well as desire should lead us forth here-- and not without caution."
Shai listens attentively, and murmurs to Cove, "I hope so." To Yasutora, she nods agreement, then turns to the spirit again. "May we have the key, Grandfather, and will you show us where to look?"
The ghost looks to Green Cove, waiting for her decision on the matter.
Green Cove blinks once, realizing someone actually wants a decision from her. How odd. "We'll take the key, and find out what I left there in another life," she says. "You've done well in keeping it safe this long."
For a dead guy, the ghost sure beams at the final statement from Green Cove. He gestures at the small wooden altar (holding a bowl, again filled with a dark liquid that Green Cove with her night sight and Floating Leaf with her nose detect as blood). "The key is safe in there. There is a catch in the back..." He kneels behind the altar pointing at the exact location. "...and if you have maps, I will be glad to explain as I can how to get there."
Green Cove steps forward to crouch down and peer at the back of the altar where he's pointing. "Shai has maps," she says, and goes poking at the catch.
Shai digs in a hip-pouch and comes up with a parchment map of the East, which she holds out so the ghost can see when he turns back. "Will this do?"
Having been shown where the catch is, it's a moment's work to slide it back; the entire back panel (one smooth piece of wood artfully joined at the edges to look as much like an cube of a single piece as possible) hinges down; there is a small cavity at the base (the top being solid like the cube the altar is intended to pass for) and something in the back of the cavity catches the dim light and glitters gold.
Yasutora peers across with interest, trying to crane his long neck around so he can see past Green Cove, his arms still resting against his side.
Green Cove peers inside, and then reaches for the glitter. She's been following bright spots of light recently, so why not continue the pattern?
The ghost nods to Shai and studies the map briefly, before pointing to a spot far East - into the jungles, and near the edge of the map. "This was tamer once," he says, "Before the Usurpation and all its weaknesses." The not-quite-solid finger traces a river. "Its path was slightly different then. There was a waterfall here," he says, shifting his finger to the side, where there is no river, "And in the pool beneath it was the entrance. There was a false entrance behind the waterfall. Mind that it was a trap - the first of many, and the only one I know of."
The glitter turns out to be a small orichalcum bird; each feather is perfect and independently shaped.
Yasutora is not distracted from the shiny by little things like -planning-. He oohs, and carefully moves just one hand over to reach out towards some of those feathers.
Shai purses her lips, attempting to estimate how long it'd take to travel there. It'll be difficult if it looks like they'd have to travel over land, as she's much more used to calculating water travel-rates, but... She nods to the ghost, frowning, and reaches into the pouch to pull out a charcoal stick and circle the spot in question. "Is there anything else you can tell us about the area that was? It may well have changed, but if it hasn't..."
<<OOC>> Leti says "There's a river linked to the River Province's waterways, but you can't be sure how much draft it takes and whether you could get your ship up there."
Yoru glances at the bird and nods appreciatively. He does however stay near Ten Winds.
<<OOC>> Leti says "Mind, it doesn't go QUITE there. :) As the ghost said, the course has shifted. But it wouldn't be a major hike if you could get the boat that far up."
Green Cove stands up, cupping the bird in her hands, and blinks down at it quietly.
<<OOC>> Shai nods. "Assuming that the ship can make it that far, about how long can I guess we'd potentially be looking at? A year of travel, a week...? Estimating long is fine, she'd just like a rough idea." [grins]
Yasutora pets the bird just once before retracting his hands and looking up at Shai. "Perhaps we should stop somewhere along the way for jungle crossing equipment? I can plow through the undergrowth in the Bastion, but it will be easier with supplies and packs and machetes."
<<OOC>> Leti says "Well. There are other cities along the way, including Nexus and Great Forks as far as BIG places go, and any variety of smaller things taking advantage of the transportation afforded by the river. You're still looking at least a month's journey round trip, I think, since upstream will, perforce, be slower. We're not talking 'you'll be isolated for MONTHS AND MONTHS on end, but we are talking "You're going to be busy a good long bit.""
The bird's feathers are not exactly soft, but the fine wire drawn out for each quill flexes at the touch. Nothing on the bird is cast as a unit; rather, each individual piece seems to have been formed individually.
Shai frowns at the map, showing it to the rest of the group. (With a pause to blink at the golden bird.) "I think so. If we take the Strider, it'll be easier if we make a few stops to resupply anyway, so we can pick up that sort of thing once we're a bit nearer, I think..."
Green Cove pets the little golden bird's feathers, listening.
Yasutora looks back to the beautiful bird again, then over to the Ancestor. "Grandfather, this is the seal? How does it work?"
The ghost smiles wryly. "I never used it, so I'm not sure."
Green Cove leans in nose-to-beak with the little bird. "It's pretty," she says. "Birds instead of fish. I wonder if it would fly."
<<OOC>> Leti says "No, I have the email. I just know we made some more adjustments in discussion, and I can't remember if we changed the draft."
Yoru says "If we have a long trip, we should have time to figure it out."
Shai quietly rolls the map back up, tucking it and her charcoal stick back into the pouch they came from. "Indeed. Shall we return to the city and let Grandfather rest again, perhaps, while we make plans?"
<<OOC>> Leti says "She can if she's trying to figure it out, yes."
<<OOC>> Green Cove shall try! "What do I roll? Craft + Perception?"
Green Cove turns the bird about in her hands. "We have a ways to go," she says. "Best to be off soon."
<<OOC>> Leti says "Per+Craft and Per+Occult."
<<DICE>> Green Cove rolls 7 dice: <1 2 6 6 7 7 8> for 3 successes.
<<OOC>> Green Cove says "That's Per+Craft, anyway."
<<DICE>> Green Cove rolls 5 dice: <2 6 6 8 9> for 2 successes.
<<OOC>> Green Cove says "And that would be the other."
<<OOC>> Leti says "Okayyyy."
<<OOC>> Green Cove hugs Exalted dice which are so much kinder than the cruel, cruel nWoD dice.
<<OOC>> Shai heeeeeeee. Agreed!
<<OOC>> Leti says "Craftwise, it is an exquisite piece of work. There's a great deal of detail. A fairly lovely bird could be made by casting it in a solid block, but it is not. As far as Green Cove can tell, an effort was made to duplicate the physical structure of the bird. Careful investigation proves that it's jointed, the wings can be moved, the feet can flex, the beak can open and close. This would be impressive enough, but there are traces left by long infusion of Essence of power that once rested in the bird. At the moment, however, it seems dormant - not denatured, but only deactivated."
Green Cove whispers to the bird, "I won't let anyone eat you."
<<OOC>> Shai _laughs_.
Floating Leaf informs Green Cove she prefers larger meals, and ones more digestible, anyhow.
<<OOC>> Leti says "Okay. You have a key, and a map. Any IC discussion of the route or the preparations to be made?"
<<OOC>> Yasutora says "well, I don't know any more at the momen,t so... :)"
<<OOC>> Yoru may end up selling his horse.
<<OOC>> Green Cove is willing to leave preparations up to the person with the ship. Given that her travel plans usually consist of 'decide on a direction, walk'.
<<OOC>> Shai says "Shai suggested heading back to the city to plot, before the roll thing came up. I suspect the planning will be fairly mundane, though, unless someone has a place they desperately want to avoid and/or someone has a better suggestion for supplying than 'trade on Zahen owing us a favor if we can, and plan on resupplying along the way', and/or someone objects to sea travel? [grins]"
<<OOC>> Leti says "Shai's crew will grumble about staying on the river, but with no real upset; they'll go where the captain goes, and that's that."
<<OOC>> Shai heeeeeee. [nods] "Shai totally sympathizes with them. --And, right; _will_ attempt to see if there are local cargos that can be transported while they're there. Because supplies cost money, and stuff." >_>
When the Circle returns to town, Zahen is waiting for them. He greets them in a friendly manner, and casually passes along information that apparently, Lookshy is sending an envoy to town as a favor, to check the pact with the barbarians and make sure it strengthens the security of the River Province.
Yasutora smiles broadly. "Excellent," he says softly, a far-off look in his eyes.
Shai lifts an eyebrow, and glances at Yasutora. Then smiles cheerfully at Zahen. "Indeed? It's a shame we'll likely miss them; we intend to continue our travels shortly."
Yoru remains mostly quiet during all of this, not having much to add to the discussion.
Zahen smiles slightly. "I'm not sure which they'd prefer, lady" he says, cheerfully. "I'm sure they're more curious about you than the barbarians, since they know the terms of the pact, I'm sure. But you've done nothing that should concern them, and Lookshy's never been one for upsetting the apple cart. Your presence could reassure them, or your absence could." He shrugs.
Shai chuckles. "Entirely probable. Well, one hopes our absence will reassure them, under the circumstances. Which reminds me; if it's convenient, I believe we'd like to speak to you about our travels..."
<<OOC>> Shai pokes her brain. Is...not sure it's working well enough for proper 'charming/fast-talking him into paying for supplies'. Er. Dratted characters who talk better than her. >_> But could attempt! Or gloss. Or whatever. [snrks]
Yasutora nods gravely and silently defers to Shai.
<<OOC>> Shai says "She also wants a local's tips on travel, so. [laughs]"
<<OOC>> Leti says "Stunt away. :p"
When they're in an appropriate place to discuss -- likely a room in Zahen's home, if possible, as the middle of the town isn't exactly that appropriate and her own ship is somewhat less convenient -- Shai turns both Solar charm and Eclipse professionalism on Zahen, pulling out another, unmarked map of the East. She explains, "We've discovered a need to travel farther east for a time. Probably, oh, along this river," and indicates the appropriate one with a long, calloused finger, tracing a path to the last marked town or city before their goal. (Not, however, indicating the goal itself.) "I know sea-travel, but we're unfortunately unfamiliar with the area; is there anything we should keep in mind while we travel, or do you know who we should ask instead?"
Once that's covered, she segues smoothly into the financial matters, with an initial sally of "You're a businessman, Master Zahen, perhaps you'd be able to help us with another matter. We may be Solars, but we still have to eat." She chuckles. "And, mm. Speaking as Captain of the Strider, we could use another cargo, and it'd explain _why_ we're traveling along the river, mm? Do you know of any business in the area that'd be interested in shipping -- say, to Nexus or Great Forks, if nowhere else along the way?" Her hope is that he'll offer one of his own business interests; it's nice to get more favors out of the person who already owes you. And from there, of course, she can segue into negotiations, trading discreetly but ruthlessly on the fact that he really, _really_ doesn't want to underpay any of the Circle individually, much less the entire Circle at once. And on the fact that this cargo would naturally be very well-guarded, and on simple experience; Shai's been doing this for _years_ now, and her caste's business instincts are well-honed.
She may, however, take a slight cut in overall pay for one thing: a promise for Zahen to arrange their supplies, or provide funding for the same. (She _won't_ mention that Jay's already prepared for a few days' travel.) Not having to spend one's own money is very good, and if _he_ doesn't know the good local suppliers or have money for the more distant ones . . . well.
<<OOC>> Shai says "...How's that? Not posing the Charm because I'm not sure what I'd be rolling, I realized belatedly. >_>"
Yasutora smiles expectantly at Zahen after Shai's speech, hands flat against his broad sides. He tries very hard not to be intimidating; that wouldn't help Shai at this point. Hey, it's easier when just wearing a tunic and pants rather than GINORMOUS golden armor. Though he sometimes forgets he's not.
<<OOC>> Leti says "Roll Manip+Socialize or Bureaucracy. +2 for stunt."
<<OOC>> Shai makes a note that she needs Socialize or Bureaucracy dicebuyers. "Manip + Socialize, as it's the bigger pool, and -- _huh_. Harmonious Presence Meditation actually adds to Soc, Pres, or Bureaucracy." [blinks] "Can I toss in a retroactive activation (out of personal) now that, er, I know it's applicable?" [laughs] "6e for 3 extra; will pose it if you want me to."
<<OOC>> Shai does, yes, want to get out the Eclipse Stick. >_> <_<
<<DICE>> Shai rolls 14 dice: <1 1 3 6 6 7 7 9 9 9 9 9 10 10> for 11 successes.
<<OOC>> Shai says "...HEE."
<<OOC>> Leti cackles.
<<OOC>> Green Cove admires.
<<OOC>> Shai pets the Eclipse Stick.
<<OOC>> Yoru says "Bah, is that all?"
<<OOC>> Yoru smirks.
<<OOC>> Shai says "Well, it wasn't Charisma + Socialize. ^^"
<<OOC>> Yasutora says "... Nice."
<<OOC>> Leti says "Okay, then...."
<<OOC>> Shai poings happily.
<<OOC>> Leti .oO(Zahen sells all he possesses and joins the crew... *hide*)
<<OOC>> Green Cove snickers.
<<OOC>> Yoru says "That's a really nice shirt you are wearing..."
<<OOC>> Shai LAUGHS. ...I _do_ still have Followers slots left over... [ducks]
Zahen is... most amenable to giving you some tips. He notes that the river's definitely navigable at least to Great Forks. He also says the trade with Nexus is very regular and usually tied up with the same boats - half of them owned by the merchants on one side of the run or the other, but there are a few more speculative cargoes going to Great Forks on occasion - more, really, going the other way, bringing luxuries to the wealthy residents of Whitewater Bend, but people in Great Forks eat too. Most of them, anyhow. He is more than willing to help with the resupply of the ship, and help you collect tokens and letters of introduction from other grateful merchants in the city to factors throughout the province, to get the best prices and options for cargoes to carry elsewhere. He notes that from Nexus to Great Forks, you're more likely to find a valuable cargo than from Whitewater Bend to Great Forks.
Yasutora gets a thoughtful look on his face. "I remember Great Forks. It is said to be ruled by three spirits, which, while a violation of the Celestial Bureaucracy, is managed as well as any may in these troubled times. Furthermore, one is a weaver of dreams and the other a spinner of tales-- and the third a warrior, but the first two may be able to help us learn more stories about your warehouse, sister," he tells Green Cove.
Green Cove looks up at Yasutora. "Spirits know more about my workshop than I do," she says. "It seems unfair. I will have to remedy this."
Shai is quite grateful for the assistance, taking mental notes about the business suggestions and navigation comments, and will _absolutely_ take Zahen up on his offer about the letters of introduction. (And the resupplying, naturally.) If the Circle doesn't set out that day, she'll likely spend the night back at her ship, sharing information and making plans with Jay. Mmm, _helpful_ people.
At Yasutora's comment, Shai quirks an eyebrow. "Really? Interesting. Yes, I think we'll be trying to stop there, if we can." She nods decisively, her 'Captain' hat obviously on. ...then chuckles at Cove.
Yasutora shrugs at Green Cove, more movement than he has shown since the bird first came out. "They may know, or they may not. I do not know.
<<OOC>> Leti says "Is Shai going to look for a foodstuff cargo or go without one or try to find one further down the river?"
<<OOC>> Shai thinks. "Er. We're at Whitewater Bend now, right? And it'd go WBend --> Nexus --> GF? If she can find one from the Bend to Nexus-ish, she'll go with it; if not, she'll make sure they're supplied well enough to reach Nexus comfortably, and shop around once they hit Nexus. Since, well, more money is good, so she wants an empty hold at Nexus to possibly pick something new up." [grins]
<<OOC>> Leti says "Nah. Not going to find anything from Whitewater Bend to Nexus. THat's a very regular run which almost always uses the same ships."
<<OOC>> Shai says "Ah, right. Okay, then, as long as they can be comfortably supplied from the Bend to Nexus, she's going to run without."
<<OOC>> Leti says "Supplies for that aren't a problem. :)"
<<OOC>> Shai whee! ^_^
<<OOC>> Leti says "Question. Did Yasutora ever tell the rest of the Circle anything more about the Lookshy rescuees?"
<<OOC>> Leti says "Like their names?"
<<OOC>> Yasutora says "Probably, yes!"
<<OOC>> Yasutora says "We've had a lot of abstract time."
<<OOC>> Leti nods.
<<OOC>> Leti says "Shai will recognize one name. The child was apparently Teresu Hana. And while Hana means nothing to you, Teresu is the name attached to a Lookshy trading faction, apparently one of their great families or something, which has a strong sea-trade influence even in the West."
<<OOC>> Shai says "...Ooooooooo."
<<OOC>> Leti says "Okay! I don't think I have any other surprises to spring on you guys. Should we close with travel, or does anyone have anything else they want to do?"
<<OOC>> Leti is all for any PC interaction people want to do.
<<OOC>> Green Cove is going to spend some time playing with the bird--or just looking at it a bit--but doesn't have specific plans beyond that.
<<OOC>> Leti doesn't need to close now, timewise, but isn't ready to move on to Great Forks or Nexus today, so. ^^
<<OOC>> Yoru has nothing pressing to do/say.
<<OOC>> Yasutora says "We could just end for the week, start up at GF or Nexus or something next week."
<<OOC>> Shai giggles. "I'm good with closing on travel? Could use dinner soonish." >_> "And don't have any real ideas for random interaction yet, other than the possible backdated thing with Yoru, but that's a sidething. --Hm, don't think she'd mention it now, no. Might've commented when Yasu first brought it up, but that's backdate."
