Another recipe, this time for eggnog.
Ingredients:
6 large eggs
3/4 cup honey
6 cups of milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
nutmeg to taste
Makes around a half a gallon of 'nog.
Break the eggs into a large bowl (at least two quart) and beat them briefly. Add the honey and mix them together. Tip from long experience: Both egg and honey are hard to properly mix into milk. However, mixed together /first/ they blend relatively very quickly.
Toss in the vanilla and the milk and stir until everything's blended smoothly. Sprinkle nutmeg either on the glasses when you serve, or now (and shake before pouring - the nutmeg will float to the top otherwise.)
Note, this is another raw-egg recipe, like the mousse. I have never gotten sick from egg, myself (and, in interesting coincidence, never eaten an egg that looked funny when I cracked it) but use your best judgment - it CAN happen.
