Or, to paraphrase, we have a company whose method of business is a DDOS attack on so-called 'spammers' (not that there aren't plenty of spammers out there, but I've also seen plenty of harmless really-opt-in mail-senders get labeled as spam - not necessarily by this company, but in general - because someone was too lazy to unsubscribe and found it easier to click the little 'report as spam' button) getting a DDOS, and dumping it on SixApart. Classy.
One assumes they thought Six Apart could take it and they didn't want their site to be entirely unaccessible, but...
