Birthday was, in the end, better than it started.
Mom's bizarro excuse for doing everything at the last minute this year: She thought she was ahead of schedule and that it (the date) was the 26th, not the 29th. I have REAL trouble believing this, but eh. I don't expect good birthdays, so I'm paranoid, so it's hard for me to step back and make an objective judgment about the badness of a birthday in question.
My sister got me the sourcebook for a RPG called "Nobilis." Book's fricking HUGE. I mean, HUGE. It's about 12"x12" hardbound, only an inch thick, but they're BIG pages and small print.
It's also slightly surrealistic. Ok, I understate myself.
It's intiguing, even if I have to read it 50 or so pages at a time to avoid major brainwarp.
Oh right, and now entering try 72952 at dietting.
Current plan: Continue evening exercise. Cut all sweets out of the diet. Stop using butter wherever possible.
Permitted: One peanut butter and honey sandwich.
Also: Try to reduce lunch sizes. Make a can of chili two meals instead of one. Take smaller portions at dinner. Any other snacks must be fruit or vegetable.
This isn't strictly measured or calculated, just, hopefully, an all around "Think about what you're eating and how to eat less"
