Tactic two: Explosives always work! Preferably when they don't know about it.
It's amazing how hard it is to kill a high-Essence Solar, especially when they have a combo of Surprise Anticipation and a perfect defense, in 1e.
"I am a sneaky Siddy ninja! Fear the ninja power!" *solar, asleep* "I will now slit this helpless Solar's throat!" "SAM, SSE, sword to the face." "...I'm not here."
Better to just blow the place up. Or crash a zeppelin into them, frontally assault, then blow them up with explosives from another direction while they're slightly distracted.
