Obviously, the fix is a good thing. Security fixes are always good. The question isn't the fix, it's the compensation to the paid users. (Who, yes, are in need of compensation; see discussion of added value. If the added value does not increase and the price does not decrease, there is a decrease in value-per-dollar which will change people's decisions to buy - many paid users are feeling their decision change retroactively, and they can't do a thing about it now.)
