Two things you should know about:

1) The current "Humble Indie Bundle" is android games. This is pretty awesome even if I only especially two of them. You know you want it; there are few enough good games for Android.

2) Daz Studios is giving away (for a limited time) a free suite of 3d tools: Bryce, Hexagon, and Daz Studio 4. That's landscape modeling, general modeling, and 'poser'esque.
