I'm pro-choice, but believe that abortion should be the last choice -- because there are so many better ones. Legal, because when it's necessary the last thing that someone needs are hoops to jump through to "prove" that it's a risk to the mother's life, or that the child will never have a brain, or whatever. But that there would be so many cheap, easy, effective contraceptives first that the problem wouldn't come up except when there was some medical situation -- and be recognized as the loss and grief that it would be in such situations.

When anti-choice is also anti-contraceptive... Well, you just said it. It's not "pro-life," it's pro-pregnancy. And, aye -- a few decades ago, I might well have been dead, and my kid almost certainly. Toxemia can kill.
